PRINCETON, N.J. – After leading their teams to undefeated weekends, Harvard’s Avery Donahue and Penn’s Gracyn Banks reaped Ivy League field hockey weekly awards. Donahue paced Harvard to two road wins against ranked opponents to earn Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Banks anchored Penn’s defensive line against Drexel and Villanova.
The Ivy League is 19-9 against non-conference opposition to boast a .678 win percentage through two weeks of action.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Avery Donahue, Harvard (So., M – Madison, N.J.)
Led Harvard to two road wins against ranked opponents
Recorded an assist in Harvard’s win at No. 19 Delaware
Added the game-winning goal in overtime at No. 22 Monmouth
Tied for the team lead in scoring with six points, recording a point in each of Harvard’s first four games
