24 Ivy League Student-Athletes Recognized as NFHCA Scholars of Distinction
PRINCETON, N.J. – 24 Ivy League field hockey student-athletes were among the 250 Division I players recognized as National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I Scholars of Distinction.

The Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year.

Cornell paces the League’s contingent with six student-athletes earning the honors, followed by Columbia with five, while Brown and Dartmouth placed four on the list.

Earlier in the week, 129 Ivy League field hockey student-athletes from all eight institutions were named to the 2020 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Academic Squad.

In 2019, the Ivy League picked up 12 wins against nationally-ranked opponents and boasted five All-Americans. Princeton advanced to the Final Four for the second consecutive year where the Tigers took down No. 4 Virginia before falling to top-ranked North Carolina in the title game.
