PRINCETON, N.J. — 129 Ivy League field hockey student-athletes from all eight institutions were named to the 2020 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Academic Squad. The Division I National Academic Squad program honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the 2020-2021 academic year.
The Ivy League concluded another successful field hockey season in 2019 that saw the league pick up 12 wins against nationally-ranked opponents and boasted five All-Americans. Princeton advanced to the Final Four for the second consecutive year where the Tigers took down No. 4 Virginia before falling to top-ranked North Carolina in the title game.
24 senior student-athletes across six institutions are four-time honorees. Penn led the way with 22 student-athletes earning the national recognition, followed by Dartmouth and Cornell, while Columbia, Brown, Princeton, Harvard and Yale were also represented on the list.
